GREYHOUND BUS COVERAGE: I think the handling of this by the Press is an excellent example of manipulated news: -- the attacker dies in the crash -- quite quickly after the event the official word is that this is NOT a terrorist attack Even the casual observer with no opinion one way or another might ask: "If the man is dead, how do you KNOW (quickly after the event) that the man was NOT associated with terrorists? It's very reminiscent of the press handling of the downed Soviet airliner. The U.S. authorities very quickly said that it was a missile (quoting the model #), and where it came from. Are we supposed to believe that US satellite monitoring is so good that it picked up the movement and read the model number from the device while enroute? Maybe this IS possible. Can somebody say? Yet another case of the sensationalism. I heard all morning how there was another case of Anthrax in Florida. The media speculating on could this be terrorism? They went into scenerios. Again it was found to be not true. This is my point guys. Who knows what is and is not terrorism. Terrorism by definition is to disrupt, scare, cause panic. There were events like this for the last hundred years; Disease,plane crashes, bus crashes, et, etc, etc. The media is supporting the terrorist by reporting all these "potential " events. For Christ sake they are bringing undue fear into my home and yours. What ever happened to reporting the news instead of speculating the news? It angers me to no end. More later......
