What does bin Laden have in common with Hiroshima?

Nothing .. yet

market thought ..

It seems that money would flow away from the US since retaliation is at "100%" probability.

Historical wisdom has been that, once the shooting starts, markets rebound. However, that may not be the case this time because of the threat.

USA today (1)

cursive quotes by Bill Harlow (CIA spokesman) published at www.cia.gov

"Numerous comments in the media recently have reiterated a widely circulated but incorrect notion that the CIA once had a relationship with Usama Bin Ladin. For the record, you should know that the CIA never employed, paid, or maintained any relationship whatsoever with Bin Ladin."

There so much injustice in the world. But - how Mr. Harlow does comment September 11?

"Obviously, the events of September 11 were a very serious blow..."

Oh! What did the CIA to prevent this terror attack?

"Well, as you know, the war on terrorism didn't begin on September 11 at the CIA. We've been working on that for a long time. Our Counterterrorism Center, in fact, was set up in the mid-1980s. In the last four years, the size of it has doubled, and in the last four weeks, it's doubled again.

We have analysts, operators, people detailed to us from the FBI, from the FAA, from the Department of Defense, all working together on this target. Not just the Counterterrorism Center but throughout the agency, all of our assets are devoted to this very important target."

Interesting. I guess only the richest nation on earth can afford that much intelligence. I wonder why all those efforts couldn't help to prevent the attack?

"Well, it is a war against terrorism, and in wars, sadly, some battles will be lost."

Let's hear what true US heroes have to tell us.

Continued soon.
