The 0.13 micron is a lot more important than a 512k cache. If AMD is to be believed, they already have started wafers for 0.13 micron in Q3, so they
should be trickling out by late Q1 2002. Besides, Intel has yet to really ship 0.13 micron in any quantity, so there might not be all that many Northwoods
until that time period anyway


A possibility, but not one that I feel comfortable betting too much money on. And don't underestimate the 512 KB cache. Once Northwood comes out, Intel will have most benchmarks changed so that 512 KB is essentially required.

No longer true. Tualatin wafers are coming out of Intel fabs in high volume now.

If AMD is to be believed the trickle should begin before the end of the year. But it will indeed be a trickle, with only engineering samples being available. By late Q1 2002 you should be able to purchase a Thoroughbred retail.
