There are lots of things being done well. I'm generally a happy and optomistic guy, after all Bush is subject to term limits. Astronomy made a sucessful transition to the digital age and has been making discoveries at a rate not seen since Galaleo. cnn.com usatoday.com Nearly unbelievable work is being performed in the field of biology. usatoday.com Computer design has progressed to where the top designers I have talked to can't understand it all, only the team can fully understand the whole picture. The increased power is feeding back into the other applications. Those are areas I know are being done well. I'm sure there are many others that I am not familiar with. TP
