Joseph M. Giaccone, 43, VP, Cantor Fitzgerald

New York, Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Joseph M. Giaccone, 43, vice
president, Cantor Fitzgerald LP.

He was Joe the chef. Joe the wine lover. Joe the gracious
host.

``He loved to give people food,'' younger brother James told
the Newark Star-Ledger. ``That's what he loved: a house jammed
full of people, with him running from room to room serving
everybody.''

Giaccone, his wife, and their two children, had just moved into their
``dream house'' in Monroe Township just
seven months ago, with a fancy stove and oven he hand-picked.

``He just got his big new Viking oven,'' family friend Jim
Day told the newspaper.

Giaccone also brought enthusiasm to his job as head of
telecommunications for ESpeed, Cantor Fitzgerald's electronic bond
brokerage and trading unit. He was responsible for maintaining
ESpeed's worldwide network, and was the catalyst behind the
company's provisions for a ``disaster recover site'' in Rochelle
Park, New Jersey -- a site that now allows ESpeed to continue
doing business after the destruction of the World
Trade Center offices.

His wife said that on a clear day, she could see the
World Trade Center from the front bedroom of their new house.

``Joe would always joke that he would flash the lights when
he was coming home,'' she told the Star-Ledger.

A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 28.
