Ian Schneider, Senior Managing Director, Cantor

New York, Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Ian Schneider, 45, senior
managing director, Cantor Fitzgerald LP.

Almost 2,000 people attended a memorial service for Schneider
at his Temple in New Jersey, on
Sept. 16. Among them were children whose soccer and Little League
baseball teams he coached, the Newark Star-Ledger reported.

``He was a very successful guy, but he was always very down-
to-earth,'' said his fraternal twin brother, also of New Jersey.

Schneider, a resident of Short Hills, New Jersey, and a
native of Brooklyn, New York, had a mischievous sense of humor and
was expert at making people feel comfortable.

``He could see the humor in anything,'' his wife
told the Star-Ledger. ``He could take the most horrible situation
and make us laugh. He was always on. No one had more energy.''

He took golf seriously and collected sports memorabilia. One
of his most treasured items was a 1958 Yankees World Championship
ring, which his son, 9, now has.

He is also survived by his two daughters and mother.
