Ronald Ruben, Equity Trading VP, Keefe Bruyette

New York, Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Ronald J. Ruben, 36, vice
president of equity trading, Keefe Bruyette & Woods Inc.

When Ruben was awarded his first Christmas bonus, he went to
a toy store and bought gifts for children at a local New Jersey
hospital, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

"He was Uncle Ronnie to 100 kids," his sister
told the newspaper. "He's one of the good guys of this world. He's
the kind of guy that you wanted to bring home, and you wanted him
to be your friend."

The Hoboken, New Jersey, resident lived with his cats, Dusty
and Luna. He enjoyed golf, working on cars and making furniture.

Ruben graduated from Ithaca College and earned a master's
degree in business administration from New York University's Stern
School of Business. He worked at the Kramer Spellman investment
firm before joining Keefe Bruyette this year.

He is survived by his two sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Oct. 14.
