Limtex -- excellent post. It is amazing how peoples' state of mind changes to fit the price level of a stock (or commodity or interest rate level).

In the spring of 1984, one could have bought 30 year U.S. Treasury bonds at a yield of 14%.

Was inflation near 14% then ?

No.

Was the economy looking like 14% was necessary then ?

No.

Everyone just "whipped themselves into a frenzy" then.

("A whole move based on nothing.")

Qualcomm is the same company as 5 or 10 days ago.

It just has a dramatically different stock price now.

Jon.

P.S. My wife insisted that I mention that she thought your post was excellent, too.

Hello, L.

I don't disagree with the basis for your outlook. My primary point is, in a raging bear market, common-sense and solid valuation analysis do not prevail. So, rationally or irrationally, I would not be extremely surprised to see Qcom trade in the low 30's or high 20's before the market carnage is over.

As you point out, it's relatively short term in the long term. Fascinating stuff.

....VVVVVVV

>>>DH wake up and smell the coffee. You are the best indicator of a bottom there is.<<<

Yeah, just like I was in February.
This line is getting a little old. Forget who it was but some star struck chap here posted in March how he couldn't wait to throw my posts back in my face.

Well, here we are down from $80 bucks to $38. Let's see, thats more than a 50% cut, eh? One hell of a bottom.

Can't you see after 1 1/2 YEARS your hopeful thinking needs some kind of adjustment? You were correct in calling for the mother of corrections. You've got what you thought would happen and then some. But now you are pinning your hopes on the same old paradigm that led to the bubble.

Lim, QCOM remains overpriced and is in a major downtrend. No matter how many 1X diddies you mention, that is the only relevant fact today.
