DH - see my previous post to MM. Simply put either Q is a nrun of the mill good company, one of many or it is something out of the ordinary. I happen to believe that it is out of the ordinary.

I also do not think that it remain below $40 for any length of time imho of course.

I was a pessimistic last year because I saw Mr G determined to target the NAZ. They had interest rates gonig up when they shouldhave been going down. Many economists had been predicting a slowdown in the US economy way before 2000. It started in 1999 and Mr G either did or should have known about it.

Now however I think the President is beginning slowly to realise just how much of a mess the economy is in and he would like to do something about it. Mr G is clearly still seems to me to be showing some reluctance in his moves but things are happening.

Are we going to see a recovery next year? Well if we don't then it seems to me that we will see some major cracks in the fabric of our society such that the disruption caused will render the price of stocks irrelevant. Our current system only works if there is a working retirement structure. Yuo can't have such a strucure if interest rates are virtually nil and there is no growth in the economy and companies continue to decline or stagnate.

The US doesn't work under those conditions nor does Gt Britain nor much of Europe. It would lead to social disorder on a massive scale.

I do not believe we are going to have that.

Best,

L
