I hear ya. It's a bit foggy out there right now, lots of mixed signals.

Macro: The commercials being short 67,122 contracts is disconcerting. They are often wrong, but when it's this lopsided? This 293 level looks like a line in the sand. On the other hand the world has changed since 911, and how can these manipulators and the lean crowd convince every investor on the planet otherwise? They have a very difficult challenge right now <VBG>. And this doesn't look inflationary? One glance at the money supply charts will suffice: 64.4.16.250

My short term macro SWAG: "Don't friggin know". How often do you hear that from me?

Micro: Some of our core juniors (BAY, FGX and MFL especially) have had nice runs. Every thing else is just churning. I see geoff's analysis as correct.

What I'm praying for is the buyout of MFL, cause there is still plenty to rotate into with that manna. The stock prices of the seniors are inflated and they should be using stock as currency for stock swaps of select juniors. If that should start to happen, katie bar the doors, it will be a feeding frenzy. But until?

Short term micro SWAG: I've sold all my producers for 50% gains. FN at 20.83 and IMG at 3.68. Threw in the towel breakeven on FWR. Took my four bagger in MR at 1.22. Picked up my first large core position in a base metal junior, Inca Pacific (IP) @ 16. The rest (10% cash of total portfolio) is a reserve looking for dips on my targets: never got filled on SUL dang it, give me another chance, pleaaaase. I'd like to pick off some SUF cheaper. My other gut stock for a takeover is BGI. Just makes too much sense (GSR, ASL, or Ranger).

Darn near picked the bottom on this OSX recovery, a little over 20 average on Fidelity Sel. Egy Svcs. You know my feeling on so called bottom pickers: lucky or liars. I got lucky for a change. <g> CED also looks prime.
