If the World had treated Jews more kindly,..... What do you think are the reasons why the world had treated the Jews less kindly/unkindly? By the way, I overheard a conversation between two academics at a science conference in 1975 that the State of Israel was actually founded on a bacterium ---the particular bacterium that could polymerize 1,3-butadiene (CH2=CH-CH=CH2) into synthetic rubber which was indispensable to the allies in WWII to make tires for warplanes and motorized military vehicles etc. You see, for quite a while the U-2 blockade was successful in making natural rubber inaccessible to the Allies. It seemed that a Jewish research chemist came to the rescue: he had stumbled upon that special bacterium. Then a group of Jewish financiers (Rothschilds?) and the chemist and I believe Chiam Weizmann (sp?) went to the British Govt and declared they would give them the vital secret and huge loans provided Britain would agree to the proclamation of the State of Israel after the war. Well, it seems the rest is history. In 1948, Albert Einstein was offered the post of Head of State but he declined, and the post went to Ben Gurion, who was succeeded by Golda Meier and others, etc. Tiny Israel was founded on a bacterium!!! Interesting, isn't it? Your comments, please.

I think what you are proving is that religion creates war judges people crucifies other religions and forgets that most faiths create moral for man as man operates with his mind not just instinct. If nothing else bin Laden has truly done wonders for progress towards a unified planet. At the rate we are going we can have fifty some odd years wiped out in one swoop. A terrorists is a terrorist. Hitler was a terrorist. What this is to me is lack of knowledge. I have yet to meet a human that delivers babies any differently. I have yet to meet a normal human that eats differently none of us breathe food but swallow it and the same organs process the food in all of mankind. I see this so clearly everyone seeking roots justification through use of the very faith that states thou shalt not kill period. However if we turn this into a religious war thou shall kill is now sanctioned. There was a service given a memorial and many religions were represented. We the US are a land of many people many faiths. Maybe to us holy is that we are people who exist under God minus what ever sect. This means that we are unified in our belief, that we have the right to freedom and that also includes whichever faith we choose to follow. This could end up being the war of all wars as we attempt to put this in a religious perspective. In doing so we remove truth which is a terrorism is morally wrong period. A long time ago the definition of moral came from a friend who said to me moral is that which does not harm another human being. Religion improperly represented creates bigots and hatred.

Listen, nobody cares two hoots about most different races. Most people do not have the time to care, they are too busy taking care of their own problems. When the politics of groups makes demands on their time, land, money, language and right to make a living, then they begin to form subjudices. Some call them prejudices. If you assiduously practice the art of living righteously and not pissing other people off by living large at their expense, then you will find that few people have the time or energy to hate you. I will admit that with certains types of idle cretins, it is easy to polarize them and focus their worst tendencies on criminal endeavour. That is what makes soldiers such gleeful killers. But the world is short on Ghengis Khans. They are not common. More you should worry about where you are building your fences these days. If you build them right, your neighbour will never morph into Temujin. EC<:-}

The Holocaust will never happen again? No, but there have been other holocausts since, and we see ethnic cleansing over and over again. And the Palestinians are the ones now in ghettoes, freedom of movement curtailed, houses bulldozed, children shot, power cut off and so on. If this isn't the irony of ironies - how do you reconcile yourself to it?

Have you see the HATE posted here against all Islamics based only on religion? Right now in the US & Canada everyone not of Christian(& of ethnic European, black, Hispanic, or Native American) or Jewish background is at serious risk.

Is there not, also, an extremist fundamental fringe of the Jewish community, the Extreme of the Orthodox, which also treat anyone not Jewish ,in food service, as *"UNCLEAN"!
