Karma, I lived and worked in the Middle East from 1989-96 and I saw the money sent by the U.S. stolen by the kleptocracies that pass for governments which then blamed the U.S. for all their people's problems. On top of that, the Kuwaities and Saudies, whose asses we saved, not only blame the U.S. for their problems, they support and finance the international Moslem terrorists who attacked us. Now the U.S. is about to make a deal with the devil -- the governments of Iran and Syria which have exported terrorism for years. Paul

Oh I agree with a lot of what you say. I just don't agree with the culture bit. Culture and religion is just what they wave in our faces, and get away with it. I think they are big hypocrats. Given half a chance, all of the males would jump to live Western type of lives. Even Bin Ladin. Do you know the Arab Sheikhs have the best horses in the world whereas racing is strictly off limits as per their religion. The males do what they please, but when it comes to their women, well, they want to retain the polygamy structure. Saudi's don't issue driving licences to their women. Or is it they can't drive alone ? Something like that. I doubt if you're saying that we should let them 'preserve that culture' ? Sheikh Zayed of Abu Dhabi, UAE visits pakistan once a year and gets a planeful of women for his harem. Its pathetic. But he is one of the few I admire in the region. He at least keeps his country neutral. And yet, women adulteresses have a death penalty ! Well the death penalty does not stop most of these women ! Nature finds a way. The anger is political. More than anything, it is a step by the few 'rulers' to retain control. To keep the male domination alive. It should not be confused with the will of the common people living in the region... Now Ahmedias, the moderate Moslems, who are more in tune with the current world, are called Kafirs. They are not considered Moslems. And yet, they form the most intellectual, educated, economically independent class of Moslems anywhere in the world. Their women are educated and work as engineers, doctors. The males are well adjusted parts of society. Why do moslem insurgents create terrorism in India, in Kashmir. There is no US involved. Hindu's do not have a permissive society....? Ahhh....its such an unending debate...

You've come to this thread and attempted to do nothing but defend, rationalize and excuse the actions of common evil murderers and using "American" stereotypes to prove your logic ... I believe you've failed ... First of all, let's put PCness aside for a moment, MANY stereotypes exist for a reason. Yes, I'll agree with you, "terrorist" is equated with people from the middle east in America ..... I've yet to see anyone equate "terrorist" with the Danes ! Do terrorists come in all shapes, sizes, persuasions, nationalities and religions ... yep, but it sure seems to reach deep into middle eastern cultures and religions, doesn't it ? You then insult Americans by stating factually that we believe all crap fed to us on the news at 6 pm. daily regarding young black males. You then go on to state that young black males do perpetuate most crime. So, you insult Americans by beleving they swallow every "fact" they're fed and back it up by stating the facts are correct. Confusing to say the least .... you insult us and back it up by perpetuating the stereotype in your own words. You want to know who perpetuates crime in America ? Criminals .... and they come in all shapes, sizes, color and religious persuasions. Personally, I'm tired of so called "religious" leaders hiding behind religion ... ANY religion ... when they are simply just evil people preaching hatred to the masses who know no better. Peace .... JB
