<<<and you are wonderful for buying during the last day or two of the big post Sept 11 meltdown: how did you get the courage? >>>
Lifetime learning, with more to come
It took over a year to realize that we (bulls) were getting killed dealing with the old boomers.
Csco, Msft , Emc, Orcl , qocm, Nt, Jdsu -. the whole most popular bundle. I was a sucker expecting qcom, jnpr, brcd, to recover their old glory. Get killed whenever suckered into buying on a potential bottom.
These big stocks are now controlled by MM's (market manipulators) and thus not responsive to earnings or facts
I refuse to mess with them. How is Janus doing ? Down over 50% now , Diversifcation is expensive insurance
I had to change or go down in defeat.
If there is one advice to give it is "follow the money",.as in Deep Throat, and buy the winners with discretion.
Courage came only from the general overall performance of my small investments being up 36% in recent months while the market was still dropping.
I considered bonds, when faced with continuing losses, but data sent me by the broker was so confusing could not figure the actual interest to be earned ( around 3% or 4%maybe)
So I have the equivalent of ten years earnings in bonds in two months. Screw the bonds, I am not in a position
of having enough capital to get excited with them. For those that have( enough capital) I would be very happy to join them someday, and pursue other interests outside of these limited financial interests
I am on a roll ,baby, when yer hot yer hot, whatever I buy turns to gold. Well , maybe not that good, because half the stuff I buy gets sold on a stop within days or hour after its bought.
Geacf. + 119%
Edo +67%
AtK + 57%
Atpx +55%
Drs + 26%(in a few days)
Mims +13%
lll + 14% ( in a few days)
Bprx + 8% in one day
Ally + 5%
Noc +5% in couple days
And even some newer Dells now +2 1/2 %
Looks like I have gone for Defense stocks, plus Geac and Ally, and I would expect them to do very well tomorrow after sending 50 of those $10mm Tomahawks to the Bin and using the B1, b2, ETC

It seems each night recently analysts predict the market will go down next day. I'm not buying that concept so have no fear of adding selected stocks at this time despite whatever the general market does. The Taliban will have zero wins, while the US has started to act and will do exactly as Bush stated weeks ago and whatever is needed to the job will be found or purchased. Sig.
