Bill,

re: Chicanery

Bill this has been going on for a LONG TIME- the Intel inside program is simply BRILLIANT.

The dummies at AMD have come up with NOTHING to compete.

Whats the point of a GREAT CPU.

If you have lousy chipset and motherboards?

If you have no BRAND power?

This is business 101.

You need to develop a product while understanding your market.

You need to develop such a product considering competitive products and realizing competitive BRAND and Marketing programs.

You need to develop a BRAND by marketing your product - ideally as a COOL HIP product.

AMD CLEARLY gets a FAILING grade and no amount of whining about Intel is gonna change that.

regards,

Kash

Bill, Re: "Well, if there is no chicanery on the part of Intel, then waht is it? Advertising allowances that will not permit AMD products on the same ad as Intel??
So a page with 4 different systems must have all Intel CPUs to get the allowance. One AMD system and there is no page allowance at all, instead of the possibly 75% reflecting the % on the page. Now what is that."

The only chicanery is on the part of you. Show me your proof of this, and don't give me any crap about it being common knowledge.
