dryness and coolness helps. I expect that freezing is not good for it but I don't know.

Navy cool degrades. (navy gunpowder) nitrocellulose. Very dangerous when it gets old in magazines and guns. Don't know the exact shelf life. It is not in the years and years. I would suspect about two years or less.

RDX and TNT degrade and exude brown pools from stored shells. Not greatly shock dangerous but not good. Toxic hazard and fire hazard.

don't know the shelf life of smokeless. Have used 50 year old ammo. In canada they do not make good smokeless powders for anything but police distribution. The also pulled back the manufacture of powder to only quebec. I suspect the explosions in dynamite plants and interference with the mining industry and explosives industry outside Quebec was not entirely accidental.

You can make BP from crap. Otherwise you need the Haber-Bosch process.

This may not be news but what does it means ? JPM is one of the most heavily shorts for gold.
