At least there is one baseball fan around here .... Thanks for the great reply. I hope that when I go to heaven (cheeky assumption!) one of the rewards will be to be able to match up great sports figures from one era against those of another. I'd prefer this to plentiful sex, er, sort of. Joe Louis fighting Mohammed Ali? Wow! I still feel Ruth and Gehrig would be dropped in spring training by any current team, mostly just as a matter of physical conditioning, strength, reflexes, and body development which are so much more advanced now. Maybe even visual acuity. Such match-ups would be a thing to behold, though. JC
