re: we took the bullet for Israel.
well, bin Ladin's speech made an impression on you; would you like to join one of his cells now?

Pravin, I can't argue with anything you just said.

But in the meantime, Palestinian leaders are distancing themselves from Osama bin Laden. That's a clear sign that bin Laden is not acting out of the blessing of Palestine and is only using their plight for his own gain:

Pravin,

After our initial response to the NY attacks -- a response that is fully justified in the name of self defense -- we have to take a good hard look at the root cause for discontent in the world.

I think the root cause of a lot of discontent is envy. There is nothing short of a global communist dictatorship that is going to anything about the fact that some people will be better off than others, some countries collectively will be better off than others.

If the resentful people spent only a fraction of the time (they spend on being resentful) on something productive (say clean up the garbage in front of their house, or even inside their house), their world would immediately look brighter.

It is very perverse logic, but to some, it brings more satisfaction that they bring someone else down to gutter than to pull themselves out of it.
