I'll tell you what I could do at this point. These protesters in Pakistan who want to start a holy war as they burn, loot and try to harm. I could easily bring the holy war to them with a .50 caliber on a tri-pod in the back of a jeep and lay waste to every damn one of them, man, women and child.

You know the answer to that - at least I hope you know me well enough to know the answer. I know where the next line of logic is headed and I don't disagree Jorj. It's much easier to bomb a faceless city than to kill a person standing in front of you. While the outcome may be the same bombing is much easier. Is it right? No. Is anything about war right? I don't think so. Which is why it's so hard for me to accept talk of "Values" or "Morals" when it comes to war. What kind of values or morals does it take to kill anyone? Nobody with an once of moral fiber can say its the correct thing to do. So....I tend to do the 180 and say.....there are no values or morals in war. So to handcuff ourselves with trying to combine those issues with war is crazy. I would remove Baghdad from the planet, occupy Iraq and then launch the covert missions. Is it right? Nope! And I wouldn't feel good about it either. But we had better stop worrying about feeling "good" and spend more time making things safe. Our parents made a very difficult call by putting the Japanese in camps during WWII. Was it right? It sure doesn't seem like it. Did it serve its purpose? We'll never know......but that may have been a brilliant decision. We'll just never know what *could* have happened had Japanese Americans been allowed to roam the country.
