If you decide to take Tai Chi classes, I suggest talking with the instructor for a little while to get a feel for what brand of Tai Chi you'll be getting into. They don't all do the traditional thing from China.

I took classes awhile back and it turned out to be a blend of Tai Chi, modern dance and just plain goofy stuff. She had us batting imaginary beachballs to each other, crawling around on all fours, (to get us in touch with our inner 2 year old), and she tried to get us to "think like a cat", which was kind of cool actually.

I didn't get much out of it, but it was pretty entertaining.
