I want the same thing for Afghanistan that I want for America.

Peace within their own borders.

No one is suggesting that humanitarian aid shouldn't flow. But the bottom line is when it comes to harboring terrorists, our policy is now clear. No distinction between the terrorists or the states which harbor them.

Your case for humanitarian aid for Afghanistan is well-made and certainly the innocents who have suffered for years under Taliban rule deserve better. Much better. The current party line of "no mercy for for any state who gives safe harbor to terrorists" Does not apply to innocents.

You'd think reasonable people would understand this.

EDIT: Given the previous response, I see this has not happened. What a pity.
