<<At the end of the day it is your father, husband, son, or nephew that is going to have to go in and make the other S.O.B. die for his country.>>

A breath of fresh air. As a vet myself (Navy VF-92) I have been trying to make my own 20 year old son understand this very misunderstood fact. Too many movies.....

I know about the sacrifice all too well. My son is a Gulf War vet, a distinguished marksman and paratrooper. He is STILL paying the price for his participation, and without a whimper as his health continues to deteriorate, now at a faster pace than at the beginning. My dad was a Navy Vet-Korea. I understand this principle all too well. And my son is the FIRST to state Daddy Bush should have let them finish the job on Sadaam.

Don't preach to those who have served their country nor the families that supported them and still do! Even tho' he is ill, not a day goes by that I do not thank God he came home, and pray for those who have died in service of our great nation who did not return. However, that being said, he, my dad, and myself all understand there are some things worth dying for. Freedom from terrorists is one of them.
