<And, do tell what you mean by dirt sticking to European roots. >

You do like to ask questions, don't you? That is much safer than having to say what YOU believe in and why, but I'll humor you.

What don't I like about America's European chauvinism? I don't like it forced on me everywhere I go. I can give you some examples of the bad parts (there are good parts, BTW, but you didn't ask about those).

The theological component of Western Civ is not so good. That's got a bad track record of misuse and abuse. Intolerance of outsiders or those who are unorthodox. Racism. The provincial nature of European thinking. They tend not to be "big picture" people and believe they have all the answers. They overcook their vegetables and eat too much meat. They have an air of supremacy that is quite annoying. While none of this is necessarily unique to Europeans, these are aspects of 18th and 19th century "American values" that I don't embrace.

Now it is my turn.

Why is it that you think that these people (who are now dead and only have descendants) have a right to promulgate their philosophies on the living in a ratio that is disproportionate to their population? Cat got your tongue?
