Have a whole portfolio of good dividend-paying stocks, as of this year.

If I have to take the risk of holding a stock, it might as well pay me something to hold it, right?

Dividends in general might be coming down, but any dividend over 2 percent is worth holding, IMHO.

If you'd like to investigate a real interesting one, check out ERF. Caution advised....still studying it myself. Has been in a down channel for a while, so something's up there, maybe. (or down, as the case may be)

As for MO, the time to get in that was when you did--a long time ago, when it had upside potential in share price....recently had someone recommend it to me and I told him the same thing. I'd like to find some beaten down stocks that pay high dividends but can still go up in price.

That's why I like Ford Motor Co. and Host Marriott, for example.
