Ian,

Industry bookings, 3 month moving average, have been flat for, what, 4 or 5 months. It is not surprising that shipments reach booking level. Since shipments are current quarter and bookings are for up to 12-18 months out, slight variations of BTB about one are probably "noise." They did say bookings were down 25% from the previous quarter. Did they give guidance for the Dec quarter?

Cary

Ian, I had not seen the Lam report, thanks for pointing it out. The press release just mentions that orders decreased 25% Q-to-Q, no dollar amount. Possibly the Street has not noticed their btb and is waiting for SEMI.
