>>As up to now, they could have easily known since the WTC 1993 attack, how things were going to unfold, they had the Lusitania and Pearl Harbor to pave the way.<<

I suspect they made the mistake of believing their own BS.

My own heartfelt opinion is that eight years of Clinton lulled them into thinking that they understood the American psyche - that all Americans are big talkers but no action.

And they probably believed their own hype that Afghanistan can't be beaten - conveniently forgetting that the reason they beat the Soviets is because the US and the Saudis poured guns and money and Stingers into the country.

And they probably didn't figure that the Russians would be willing to come back for Round Two.

And we still don't know whether they are going to be able to rally a grassroots army to fight on their side, but I expect that they are hoping for that.

I hope they don't. If we have to fight a few million guerrilla fighters on the ground, even a few hundred thousand, we're going to have to re-instate the draft and train a bunch of American kids who love to watch TV and play video games how to fight hand-to-hand with men who think they are going to heaven to have sex with 72 virgins for eternity if they die in battle.
