I remember hearing him say this on CNBC and QCOM (thornley) responding at some conference that they had not seen any slowdown yet (think this was in May or early June '00). Well slowdown then hit and so was stock.


JMO....but this was a lowpoint for Q's management. They really should have seen that coming.

Still thinking through a projection for next year....but China/India should contribute an extra 7-8m handsets. There should also be a launch in Malaysia and some possible launches in Eastern Europe. I wonder how quickly BellSouth's TDMA properties could be converted to CDMA if the decision was made by the end of this year....this would definitely help sales in LA.

I think we might be able to expect 15% growth from new markets....the real driver is going to have to be 1x demand.
