I think rather than having a Palestinian state under Arafat they should draw one with the same territory but put it under Rudy G. and the NYPD.

Nadine, although my memory is shaky on this; didn't Menachem Begin originally try to help the Palestinians create their own state after Jordan was expelled from the West Bank in 1967?

For those who either dont know, or dont want to knmow history, Jordan controlled the West Bank and Jerusalem according to the 1948 agreements.

It was only after they attacked Israel and lost, that they wound up withdrawing permanently leaving the Palestinains to fend for themselves.

At the time, no one said a word about jeruslaem, and it is more open now than ever in modern history.
