It's true. But at the same time Israel, like right now, Israel has initiated the expansion of 15 new settlements in occupied territory. That inflames the situation for the Palestinians. Why announce something like that now? One thing to remember is that Sharon is a master of creating a situation on the ground to achieve his political goals. Also it was an Israili news leak, yesterday, that Arafat was appealing to Israel to help quell resistance,... that further inflames. Sharon hates Arafat and I bet he'd have no qualms killing him, or creating a situation where Palestinians do it for him.
