7:13AM Orchid Biosciences (ORCH) 3.10: Highlighted in Business Week as a potentially undetected bio-terrorism play. Company makes a proprietary detection technology known as single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), which helps identify and characterize genetic variations that are vital to drug discovery. ORCH has a pact with biological testing company Luminex Corp (LMNX), whose technology could potentially be used to detect organisms that could be used by terrorists. One analyst, who isn't recommending the stock as a bio-terrorism play, thinks ORCH could rise to $9 in a yr. Thanks Boyd... There's always a reason for a stock's move...
