Just being polite...

if a company was to grow as wonderfully as did one of the silverbacks did in its early years,

But, why would we expect QCOM, for example, to display a growth pattern similar to CSCO, MSFT, or INTC?

I guess the truth of the matter is that, having done very detailed modeling from the inside of the business ... and interacted with someone else's modeling that had some fatally wrong assumptions ... my strong sense is that modeling on the financials alone is really just an exercise in moving numbers around. Unless the model ties into the product, the market, the issues involved in growth, etc., etc., etc. I don't feel like I really would have a clue whether it was meaningful or not.
