Hi Robert Barry; I don't mean to suggest that the Arab Israeli conflict is not a part of the situation that the US is now in. What I mean to suggest is that the debate over the morality of the various parties is a waste of space.

The basic fact is that the parties to all wars believe that God (or at least Morality) is on their side. Arguing over who is the more moral is useless.

It's more interesting to argue over other things:

(1) Will Iraq become involved?
(2) Will a war breakout involving Israel?
(3) Does the U.S. have the Will to break the Taliban?

etc.

If I wanted to listen to ancient enemies calling each other names I could tape record my next family reunion.

P.S. The family reunion comment is a joke.
