Richard Keane, 54, Marsh & McLennan, Ex-Marine

New York, Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Richard Keane, 54, senior
vice president, Marsh & McLellan Cos.

``Dick'' Keane, of Connecticut, was born in
Boston, and raised in Massachusetts.

He graduated from St. Anselm College in 1969 and
received a master of education degree in
rehabilitation counseling from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts,
and a master of business administration from the
University of Hartford in Connecticut.

A former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, he served at Camp
Pendleton, California, and in Iwakuni, Japan, where he was a
courier to Vietnam and provided drug counseling to Marines. Keane
was employed by Travelers Insurance Co. in Boston, for many years,
the Watson Insurance Agency, and most recently by Marsh & McLennan
in Hartford. He specialized in worker's compensation insurance.

Keane is survived by his wife of 31 years; five
sons; and two grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters.

He was also a Eucharistic Minister at his church,
where he additionally served as a member
of the Choir, ministered to the sick, and was a member of the Parish Council.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Oct. 8.
