I think I've posted this before. But it remains an excellent reminder of the relative nature of "morality", and the fact that homosexuality is a natural element of humanity since written history. It is only a "moral" issue because of religion which is about power, control, and
censorship.

(Not that I would ever hire a homosexual, you understand. I don't even talk to them). Gotta go out and throw the old football around. When is the Tyson fight...

I would see very little in the way of a 'positive' for myself or my partner to "go public" if I were gay. There are two people at work who I thought might be gay . They have a certain look, but you know, being effeminate or adhering to my mental stereotypes doesn't mean you are gay. I'm pretty sure my first guess was wrong on both.

Judging people from outside appearances can be dangerously inaccurate. It's a double edge sword because part of the way we dress is to be provocative and establish our collective group identity. Part of being a smart person is making judgements and forecasts about people and what you know about them.

I went on a camping trip with one of my friends, his son and the son's friend. The friend had pierces and was rather scruffy looking. He wasn't a bad kid once you got past the outward appearances. We all had a good time on the trip. We took turns listening to each others music and there were types that we both like of each others inventories. You can learn a lot about people by how they look, but you can be wrong about your interpretation of some aspects of that appearance.
