Jewish law states that women are unclean on their periods also, in fairness. Misogyny is not limited to the Muslims. Isn't that comforting? And you can't get more contemptuous that Christians, they blame the whole fall of man on a woman.

And Jewish women take ritual baths, too. I just remembered that.

One wonders, as a practical matter, how promulgation of such a weird and twisted philosophy can be done though such 'unclean' agents.
