And before I catch flak about it from wind energy advocates, I would submit that wind power is very useful in specific locations, but neither it, nor solar, will provide the amount of energy our economy requires at an efficient cost.

New sources of energy are one end of the package. On the other end, we have to stop treating 'conservation' as a dirty word. We are profligate in our use of energy.

I don't about the science of it, but how's this. Nuclear power plants along waterways that dual use as hydrogen-from-h2o plants. Nuclear generated power, and hydrogen for fuel cell use.

Know if it could be done? Or if it would be cost-efficient?
