Look:

They earn 4 cents a share.

The PE is almost 300

The software doesn't work.

They've now make some alliance with a real loser whose software doesn't work. ( My wife's company uses Unisys. It's a 1970s technology that wasn't very good back then)

It's your money.

Paul

Paul...

I tend to agree with you that VISG over the long haul will be a good stock.

I was in this stock early in the yr. I have sold half my position at 13.5 so I am well ahead even if it goes back to 2.

I bought this stock because it was on a death spiral and came out of it. This has given me deep respect for its management. The profit producer today is not FR but rather the good business they have in state governments with, I believe, 35 states using their technology for drivers licenses. I was impressed with FR when I saw a demo and I believe the long term market will be in areas outside of airports.

Airport security is still risky due to the number of people that go thru airports every day. Even a very small % of false positives will cause difficulty.

On the other hand, applications where you have a fixed base of employees and can get great pictures (as opposed to what you might get in airports) can be used as a security measure for all people entering a building. This to me can be a great long term market. I know there are other methods to made buildings secure however it is a big market.

This coupled with their on-gonig State Gov. drivers license business, potential in Law enforcement and controlling welfare fraud and opportunities to do things in Local Governments (Law enforcement primarily) are all long term opportunities.

The deal with Unisys I think is positive in that they will be using them mostly for installation assistance. There is no way that VISG can grow their own installation (and sales) force to handle all the inquiries that have developed since WTC. Also, Unisys did have and I have no reason to believe otherwise a good on-going business with the Federal Gov. and I believe is growing rapidly in the law enforcement area at the state and local gov. level.

Based on my experience in marketing to Government agencies prior to retirement I found government markets slow to develop but once you demonstrate what you can do, there is a greater sense of long term loyalty and a willingness to recommend you to other similar agencies. In addition, market growth might not be spectacular but it does have a greater degree of consistency in your being able to meet revenue expectations.

The WTC disaster gave their FR technology (as well as VISN's) wide publicity and has caused the stock to explode. Currently I feel it is ahead of itself thus shorts are all over it and it will drift down creating new buying opportunities.

This one will be fun to watch over the next few years. I might add it will be fun to watch day to day as well if you don't care about daily gyrations.

Cheers and Good Luck to all.

Bob T.
