The Gospel are historical dcouments by eyewitnesses. You can find no better historical documentation about the life of Jesus than those in the NT. The historicity of the stories are confirmed by both friend and foe. The Christians Fathers of the first and second century confirmed the historical documents in the NT, but this we should expect. The hostile rabbis unwittingly confirm the stories by essentiall quoting the main themes and then make up myths and fables to obscure the Messianic fulfillment. If you seek truth with all your heart, then read the eyewitness historical records in the NT and the Holy Spirit will confirm the historical record from within. In the end, faith is always a gift of God. Many assume that faith comes without solid historial facts. This is false. Jesus is the Messiah!
