The Palestinian-Israeli conflict must be settled - but it is not the source of most misery in the Muslim world , so wrote Jonathan Freedland in the Guardian.

For lots of people seeking a scapegoat these days, perception is all too readily equated with reality. So while the Palestinian-Israeli conflict may not be the source of much of the misery in the Muslim world, it certainly has been regarded as such by many.

In order to debunk the widespread idea (or myth, if you will) that Israel has been the culprit and to delegitimize/neutralize Osama ben Laden's claim that he is a friend and champion of the Palestinians' cause, it is not surprising that Blair now advocates the formation of a Palestinian state.

Blair can talk the talk, but can he walk the walk?
