That's a very important point that we should not allow to become obscured.

The WTC terrorists were intentionally, deliberately targeting completely innocent civilians who had done nothing to them whatsoever except live and work in America. This was not a military target. It was purely and intentionally a civilian target, chosen to maximize the deaths of innocent people.

I don't think anybody has yet made a legitimate claim that the US has intentionally targeted purely civilian targets. If so, I have missed it. In fact, the opposite seems to be true -- I have heard interviewes with air force flyers indicating that they are putting their lives at greater risk because of rules of engagement that rquire them to minimize civilian casualties.

I don't see that those posts indicate that I have more sympathy for one human life over another.

Both your vision and reasoning could be very bad, and you could still be a really nice person.
