Gus what about the server side of the Data General acquisition EMC received, I can't think of the name but it started with an "A". I believe they had to keep it for 2 years which should be coming up if it is not already passed. Do you think they will sell that off or is it adding value?

RESEARCH ALERT-EMC EPS views cut
NEW YORK, Oct 18 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse First Boston said analyst Amit Chopra cut his outlook for earnings per share from data storage systems maker EMC Corp. (NYSE:EMC - news) on Thursday.

In a report, he cut his estimate for 2001 earnings per share to 3 cents from 15 cents. He cut his outlook for 2002 earnings per share to a loss of 5 cents from a profit of 22 cents.

EMC reported its first quarterly loss in 12 years on Wednesday. The company posted an $825 million restructuring charge and said it did not expect to turn a profit until the second half of 2002.

Chopra called the third quarter ``dismal.''

``Because of its lack of operating leverage, EMC will likely operate in the red until some time toward the end of next year,'' he said.

EMC shares were off 6 cents at $11.15 in early New York Stock Exchange trading.

Thanks for a well thought out reply. I appreciate your depth of knowledge about storage sector and your interest in EMC.
I am still holding on to EMC. By the way, EMC was featured as value stock in Better Investing Magazine when it was trading in mid teens.
