I like the French anthem, too. My all time favorite was the Soviet anthem. I was so disappointed that, with the breakup of the Soviet Union, the anthem was lost, as well. But Russia has since revived it. I like the US anthem well enough. I find it stirring but, of course, it's mine. I don't know that I've ever before heard the opinion of anyone other than an American so thanks for the insight. I like it best when it is played by a band, less when it's sung. I find your anthem stirring and suitable but not in a class with either the Russian or the French. Karen
