Clinton did not commit perjury. "Perjury" is a crime, and is to "lying" what "murder" is to "killing," namely, a specific legal transgression. Since Clinton has never been convicted of any crime, he cannot be called a perjurer or rapist. The central issue in the Clinton Inquisition was NOT that he sold secrets to the enemy. It all revolved around an extra-marital affair that, while distasteful, did not put the United States in harm's way.

It was indeed "gotcha" and I can guarantee you this: If we subject GWB to the same scrutiny as we subjected Clinton, we will be playing the same game again.
