Ever hear of the Alan Sokal hoax? He's a physicist at New York U. To satirize academic jargon he submitted an essay full of pseudoscientific mumbo jumbo to a postmodern humanities journal. Of course they ran it, and they weren't happy campers when the hoax was revealed.
