Dan, AMD shipped the same amount as last quarter, but Intel shipped MORE than last quarter.

"The microprocessor units shipped were up and a little stronger than expected."

You need to wake up from your dreamworld and face the facts. Intel GAINED market share. End of story. Expect Gartner to update their numbers over time. Their methods of counting don't produce perfect results.

That puts AMD at 24% of the market and Intel at 76% - AMD picked up another 2 points of market share last quarter (from 22% to 24%)

Mercury's already come out with market share numbers saying the opposite, that Intel picked up a point and AMD's down to 21%.
