I think they are already aware of the situation. There is much truth in her words. But America has always survived, and will survive this, with all our odd and varying views, and taking time out to rage at each other rather than focus on the real dangers. An American who is against violence of any kind is as old as our country. They are part of the weave, like the Americans who always want more blood than the average folk. Who among us thinks we're perfect as a person, or that a problem with another person can only be solved by "the other" changing, but not us? So why would a country be perfect and not willing to look at itself, and more imporantly, look at how it relates with others, and what can be done to create an enviroment that works the best for all? We'll never be without serial killers here. You've learned about those, yes? Our little homegrown problem. So we deal with them. And we'll deal with terrorists. But we have a safe world to work to forge, of interlocking interests of diverse people. We made it work in America, the melting pot. So it can work all around.
