Never said we were at war with the entire mideast. Stating the facts that there are huge, mammoth even, reserves of oil outside the mideast that have previously been inaccessible to the United States for political reasons. As to development, yes it takes time. US and British companies have been in Central Asia now for a good portion of the last decade.
