So if you're sure that 250 alleged layoffs at still profitable Intel are "just the beginning." What's going to happen at AMD??? They just turned in a pathetic quarterly result.

So, just for your information, the employees were not given "Pink Slips". They were put in the re-deployment pool.

Redeployment is a program in which employees who's divisions have been eliminated, have 3 months to find another job inside the company. Redeployed employees get first shot at any other available jobs. During those 3 months, their ONLY job, is to find another job inside the company. During that time, they receive their standard salary. If they can't find a job, then intel provides outplacement services, and extends their medical coverage out to an additional 90 days after they leave.

Remind me.... What did AMD do for those 2500 employees that they laid off???
