LOL! Thanks. Symbolism is not out of place unless it becomes mummery to which no real meaning can be attached. On the other hand, a written constitution is a better idea, if one has to choose...... I used to think that there was something to keeping the monarchy. Now, having disgraced itself over and over, I am beginning to think that you should turn them out, gracefully, and form a republic. My favored solution would be a larger federation, absorbing Anglophone Canada and the UK into the United States. Maybe Ireland will come, and we can moot the question of Northern Ireland......
