Re: Having to pay

I pay $40 every month for my cable modem service and am happy to do so because I'm getting value for my money. When I buy a car I know I'll be paying to refuel, maintain, and insure it for as long as I own it and that's OK too. Contrary to what you might believe, people are happy to pay for value received. Consumers do object to being ripped off, like being asked to pay $17 for an audio CD, but computer and information technology has been on one of the steepest price declines in history for many years and that trend shows little sign of stopping.
