Feel Al Gore and the team he would have picked would have been up to the task of facing this crisis?

An equally interesting question is whether Gore would have gotten the same level of support from the right wing of the Republican party that Bush has gotten from the left wing of the Democratic party. Here's an even better question. If this had happened on Clinton's watch, would the right wing have thrown politics aside and supported him? We already know that they had abandoned the "politics ends at the water's edge" principle during his administration, would this have been enough to put an end to that?

Will try to respond to your questions

1. If Al Gore would be the President Powell would no be the Secretary of State and as such the tragic event of Sept. 11 would have not occurred and possible thwarted.

2. I do not know at least I do not like the way that laws are passed those days. They should have passed emergency laws which can be enacted only upon declaration of war

3. That is pure speculation, on thing I can say I definitely do not like Bush Sr. old boy club and his friends including previous or present business partners

4. Policy guidance of policy from the present Secretary of State -- e.g. Powell

I am not so much pro Gore but definitely very much anti Bush because of his father his old "team" and Powell they actually let the seeds of the present horrific disasters to germinate. If any one wonders why Americans have no respect in the ME and are actually hated should revisit the events in the ME since 1982/4 most of them not widely publicized like caving to the Saud Royal family, the failure to introduce democracy after Desert Storm and abandonment after call for revolt of Kurds, Muslim minorities in Central Asia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Algiers Lebanese Christians.
